It's been awhile...

Going to try and make some posts on here more often then every 3 months or so. Since last time we have moved to the Normal Heights area of San Diego into a nice little 2 bedroom. It is great to have our space and room again. The dogs and cat really missed our couch and are laying all over it happily again. Here are some pics of Tiff's b-day on Sat. and some recent projects at work. Till next time...laterz.

Lea Ani Monique Chuidian

Here are some pics of the little princess...and her grand popi.

Mi Vida....

Well I'm going to start putting pictures up on here so everyone can check out what's going on in my life if they want to.  Right now I'm up in Sacramento visting my family and my new and one and only niece, Lea Ani Monique Chuidian, my lil sis Elena's baby girl. I will put some pics up as soon as I load them up.  The other reason I am up here is to pay my respects and be at my step-grandfathers funeral.  He, John Caldie, passed on last Saturday, the 20th at 8:30 a.m., he will be greatly missed and my step-grandmother Shirley Caldie passed away a couple months ago after her fight with cancer.  They are together again and we know they will look over us as they always have.  Here's his obituary...
John William Caldie

1929 - 2008
John William Caldie, 79, born August 27, 1929 in Menominee, MI to the late Mary Caldie (Lynch) and Theron Caldie passed away Sept 20, 2008, surrounded by close family at his home in Atwater, CA. He attended Menominee High School and proudly enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1948. During his 27 years in the service, he served in the Japan Occupation Post WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War. In 1956, he married Shirley Ann Madsen of Menominee. In 1970, Shirley and John Caldie moved to Atwater, CA (Castle A.F.B.) where they resided for 38 years. After the military, he operated a successful business in Merced, Shell Self-Serve, then Awater at Union 76. He enjoyed his grandchildren & great-grandchildren, woodworking, snow-birding with his RV in Tucson, AZ, and worshipping God.
His wife Shirley of 51 years, who preceded John in death, greeted him at the gates of Heaven. Left to cherish his memory are his children and their spouses, Lynn and Bob Rucker, Jeff and Kathy Caldie, Richard and Stefanie Caldie, Sue and Darrell Parobek, and John T. Caldie; grandchildren Matthew Rucker, Jessica Chambers (Rucker), Chris Chambers, D.J. Parobek, Nick Parobek, Chris Caldie, Melissa Caldie, Jennifer Caldie, Makenna Caldie; great-grandchildren Brooklyn Chambers, and Ebbet Chambers. He was loved more than he will ever know and will never be out of our hearts, minds, or souls of those who knew him well. We could not ask for a more loving and wonderful father and grandfather. He was our hero and will be forever missed.
A Memorial Service for John and Shirley will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008, 1:00 PM at Bible Baptist Church, 3840 N. Santa Fe Dr., Merced, CA with John's burial on Tuesday, September 30, 2008, 1:30 PM, at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 W. McCabe Rd., Santa Nella, CA.
